Should I pay upfront for an item?
NO. We strongly advise never paying for an item before you have physically inspected it. Meet the seller, verify the item condition, and then complete the payment.
Where is the safest place to meet a seller?
Always choose a well-lit, public location with many people around, such as a shopping mall, a busy petrol station, or a cafe. Never meet in private or secluded areas.
How do I use the comparison tool?
Look for the "Compare" icon on product listings. You can select up to 4 items to see their features, prices, and specifications side-by-side to make the best choice.
How do I follow a store?
On any seller's storefront page, click the "Follow" button. You will receive notifications whenever they post new listings, helping you stay updated on your favorite sellers.
Where can I see my recently viewed ads?
You can find your "Recently Viewed" ads in your profile section on the mobile app or web portal. This allows you to quickly get back to items you were interested in.

How do I list an item for sale?
Click the "Sell" button, upload high-quality photos from different angles, write a clear description, set a fair price, and choose the correct category to attract the right buyers.
How can I make my ad stand out?
Use clear, bright photos, provide a detailed and honest description, and consider using our promotional services to feature your ad at the top of search results.
What is a professional storefront?
For active sellers, a storefront is a dedicated page that showcases all your active listings, your store logo, and customer reviews, helping you build a professional brand on Naiya.
Why was my ad rejected?
Ads may be rejected if they violate our policies, contain prohibited items, have low-quality images, or provide misleading information. You will receive an email with the specific reason for rejection.
How do I set a Return Policy?
You can define your own return and refund rules in the "Settings" section of the Seller Portal. Having a clear return policy builds trust and encourages buyers to choose your store.
How do I track my ad performance?
Use the "Analytics" tab in your Seller Portal dashboard to see real-time data on how many people have viewed your ads, started chats, or saved your items.

How to promote my ads?
From your seller dashboard, select the ad you want to boost and click "Promote". You can choose from various packages designed to increase your ad's reach.
What is the difference between Top Ads and Boosting?
"Top Ads" keep your listing at the very top of its category, while "Boosting" ensures your ad appears more frequently in relevant search results and user feeds.
How do I pay for promotions?
We accept secure payments through Paystack and Flutterwave, allowing you to pay via card, bank transfer, or USSD.
Safety & Reporting
How to avoid common scams?
Be cautious of "too good to be true" prices, users who pressure you for quick payment, or anyone asking for upfront "commitment" fees or shipping costs before you see the item.
How to report a suspicious user or ad?
Use the "Report" flag available on every ad page and user profile. Our safety team reviews all reports and takes swift action against fraudulent accounts.
What happens after I report something?
Our team investigates the report. If a violation is found, the ad will be removed, and the user may be permanently banned from the platform.
Policies & Logistics
What items are forbidden on Naiya?
Strictly prohibited items include weapons, drugs, stolen property, counterfeit goods, adult content, and any items that violate Nigerian laws.
Does Naiya handle shipping?
No, Naiya is a connector platform. Buyers and sellers are responsible for agreeing on a safe pickup or delivery method that works for both parties.
What is the refund policy?
Since transactions happen directly between users, refunds must be settled between the buyer and seller. This is why we insist on inspecting items before payment.
